Mackro ("the App") is built to respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the App uses and how.
All food logs, custom foods, macro goals, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you have iCloud enabled, this data syncs across your devices via CloudKit — encrypted in transit and at rest, managed entirely by Apple.
With your permission, the App can write nutrition data (calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat) to Apple Health. This data is stored in the Health app and governed by Apple's privacy policies. The App does not read from HealthKit.
When you use the AI photo logging feature, photos you choose are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for meal analysis. The following applies:
The App contains no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no crash reporting services. No behavioral data is collected or sold.
If you enable meal reminders, the App uses iOS local notifications. These are processed entirely on-device and no notification data leaves your device.
All app data can be deleted by removing the App from your device. To delete iCloud-synced data, go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.
